MRS. IKPEAZU COMMISSIONS HEALTH CENTER AND MARKET PROJECTS
Abia State Community-Based Social Development Projects is (CSDP) a medium that the state Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, is using to reach out directly to communities in all the 17 Local Government Areas of Abia State.



This initiative is purely community based. The communities bring their make a choice of project, conduct a survey, make quotations and execute these social projects using the money provided to them by the state government under the supervision of CSDP.

At Isialangwa North, various community projects are ongoing.

The wife of the Governor Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu, was at a very rural part of Isiala Ngwa North called, Achi autonomous community to commission several completed projects ranging from health centers, markets, electricity projects, borehole projects, and a school.

Speaking while receiving the wife of the Governor, The EzeAchi of Amachi Autonomous Community, said this was the first time they were having  government presence and that this has moved him to endorse Governor Ikpeazu's second term bid even though traditional rulers are  not involved in politics.


The town union president, welcomed the wife of the governor, saying he was pleased that the wife of the governor came in person for this great event.
He praised the Governor for coming to their aid after so many years of staying without a health center, as this has reduced the rate at which their community members seek health care from neighboring villages. 

According to him, this health center now serves even the neighboring villages from Akwai bom State.

In her response, the wife of the Governor, Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu, assured the communities that more of will come to the people of this community as long as Dr. Victor Okezie Ikpeazu remains the Governor of Abia State.

An excited women leader Love Okporfuo, assured the wife of the Governor that her presence is an added advantage as they had already made up their mind to return Governor IKPEAZU. Immediate past deputy chairman, Chinwendu Ochiulo was present at the commissioning.
In another place, the wife of the Governor Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu, was at Umunkpeyi in Isiala Ngwa South to Commission a market. 



The Head of Service Sir Onyi Nwama, who hails from the area said, for the people of Umunkpeyi, returning Governor Ikpeazu is a project which must be completed.

Since the dawn of the current democratic dispensation, Umuahia North has remained a strong PDP enclave. Nearly every candidate that has received overwhelming votes from the area has been members of the PDP.

This is probably because the council and its stakeholders have always chosen to remain mainstream other than ride opposition.


It comes as no surprise that the larger chunk of natives and residents have resolved to vote Okezie Ikpeazu as governor for a second term in office.

At a huge rally held at the Ibeku High School and put together by the women of PDP Central Campaign Committee led byu Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu, stakeholders of the party in Umuahia reiterated their determination to return Governor Ikpeazu to Okpara Avenue, Umuahia.

Chairman of Umuahia North Council of Traditional Rulers Eze Phillip Ajomiwe of Oriendu Autonomous Community, Chairman of PDP in Umuahia North Local Government Prince Bon Okezie, PDP Women Leader, Mrs. Chidinma Oforma, PDP Women Campaign Coordinator Mrs. Carolyn Isiocha, Women Campaign Coordinator for Abia Central Lady Chinyere Ibe, and wife of PDP State Chairman, Lady Uzoamaka Onuigbo, all spoke of the common commitment of the people to have Okezie Ikpeazu continue in office.




They also pledged to support the victory of all PDP candidates at the polls.

Chief Mrs. Cecilia Ibe, President General, Ohuhu Women’s Development Association, Hajia Hadiza Suleiman Ukandu, Education Secretary Umuahia North, Mrs. Ihuoma Moses Onuegbu, Director for Women Mobilization Nnenna Obewu Onwuka, Wife of Senator representing Abia South Mrs. Flora Abaribe, and Wife of the Senator representing the area, Mrs. Mercy Odochi Orji, emphasized that the victory of the PDP is assured because it has given adequate attention to women who form the majority of voters at the polls. They said the opposition parties have not clearly defined the place of women in their manifestoes as the PDP has done, and this has given the party the upper hand at the polls.

Also speaking wife of the first military head of state, Lady Victoria Aguiyi Ironsi, endorsed Okezie Ikpeazu for a second term and called for all Abians of good will to support him.

In her speech, Wife of Governor, Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu, thanked the Umuahia North people and pledged that the Governor will continue to deliver on his election promises to the people.
She advised women voters to come out early in on voting days to cast their votes for the PDP which she said is poised to win, given the enormous support it has been receiving firm the people.

The people of Ugwunagbo have vowed that no one will distract them from reelecting their son and brother, Okezie Ikpeazu for Governor.


In a mega rally held at the Council Headquarters, the Ugwunagbo people traced their relationship with Obingwa people and assured that upholding the charter of equity was the best way to sustain the political balance in the state.

Honourable Munachim Alozie of the House of Assembly, Major Stakeholder and leader of PDP in Ugwunabor, Chief Chinwe Nwanganga, Elder Ezebunwa Ubani, Chief Ike Onyeweaku, Chief Ngozi Ekeke joined the teeming population of Abians who have pledged votes to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, describing him as A SON they are pleased with.




The Ugwunagbo people said their support is based on the developmental strides of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, as he has remained the only governor till datye who has sited major projects in Ugwunagbo land.





PDP Women Leader for Ugwunagbo Mrs. Comfort Agu, Local Campaign Coordinator Happiness Ezuruike, Mrs. Margret Maraizu, Commissioner for Special Duties, Precious Achumba, Miriam Onyeweaku, Mrs. Lois Nwanganga, Ugoeze Chinyere Ugwuala, Wife of former Deputy Governor,Lady Nene Ananaba, Wife of Senator representing Abia South, Mrs. Florence Abaribe,  Wife of current deputy governor Lady Vivienne Chukwu all spoke at the occasion reiterating their support for the administration and the reelection bid of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.
Earlier in the day, Wife of the Governor Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu had commissioned a market project, a borehole and a multipurpose centre at Asa Umuakwaa built with support from the Abia CSDP programme.

The wife of the Governor Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu today, decleared open the two-day step down training of beneficiary enrollment for Cash Transfer Facilitators (CTF's).


The wife of the Governor Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu today, decleared open the two-day step down training of beneficiary enrollment for Cash Transfer Facilitators (CTF's).



The national cash transfer office today commenced the training of cash transfer facilitators selected from the various Local Government Areas of Abia state.


The program which is geared towards poverty alleviation in the rural areas will see to the conditional transfer of #5000 monthly to vulnerable persons.

Speaking during the program, the state focal person, Mr chineye Nwaogu, said the training is to ensure all vulnerable abians get the stipend of 5000k every month.

He commended the Governor of Abia state Dr Victor Okezie Ikpeazu for giving them the enabling ground and the necessary support for the program to thrive in the state. He further stated that this is in line with the governors numerous programs on poverty alleviation.


In her speech, the national programs coordinator, Dr Mrs  Tope Sikanye, spoke on the reason why they targeted the poor. She said the increasing poverty rate in the country necessitated the intitiation of the program. Speaking further, she thanked the wife of the  Governor, Mrs Ikpeazu for ensuring that the medium of selection was not politicized.

In her speech, the wife of the Governor Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu, thanked the team from Abuja  for their tireless efforts to ensuring that poverty is reduced in the country.

Mrs Ikpeazu, said she is an advocate of poverty alleviation as this can be seen in her various programs in Vicar hope foundation, ranging from the widows indigent shelter scheme, where over 50 houses have been built, furnished and handed over to widows and vulnerable persons, across the 17 local government areas of Abia, her various skills aquisition programs in a colloborations with national directorates of employment. Scholarships, low cost medical attention for sickle cell patients at the Vicar hope foundation medical center, to mention but a few.

She further charged the trainees to be diligent and hard-working; and with this, she formally declared the program open.

IKWUANO IS PDP!!!

IKWUANO.

Quite a number of Ikwuano men joined hundreds of women en masse to receive the wife of the Governor and the PDP Women State Campaign Team at the Ikwuano Local Government Headquarters Isiala Oboro.

Those who spoke during impressive turnout gave words of inspiration to the campaign team, assuring them that the voting strength of the PDP in Ikwuano will guarantee a smooth victory for Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and other PDP Candidates.




Head of Service Ndidi Nwagba, PDP Women Leader Mrs. Ebere Okeiyi, Professor Roseline Ndimele, the Women Affairs Commissioner, Ugoeze Kate Onyemachi, a former Chairman of Ikwuano Mrs. Ngozi Orji, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, Mrs. Chinyere Ehilegbu, Zonal Coordinator for women campaign Mrs. Chinyere Frank Ibe, and the Education Secretary of the Area Mrs. Ego Nwamuo, said Ikwuano men and women have unanimously resolved to give their vote to PDP. They said they are not deterred by as the few opposition politicians in the area are not connected to the grassroots.







Also speaking High Chief Emenike Chuck Osondu, Chief Uche Achugbuo, Chief Anthony Mbama, Honnourable Williams Ukatu, and the LGA campaign Coordinator, Chief Stanley Ojigbo, outlined the various projects which the wife of the Governor has carried out in Ikwuano, including two indigent houses and two community markets and said this will encourage the local people to vote for PDP.
Contributing, the PDP candidate for House of Assembly Stanley Nwabuisi, the Member of House of Representatives representing Ikwuano/Umuahia Chief Sam Onuigbo, Commissioner for Industries Chief Henry Ikoh, and the wife of the Senator representing Abia Central Mrs. Mercy Orji urged the electorate to come out early on the morning of the elections to cast their votes for PDP and defend their votes.




In her speech, the wife of the Governor, Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu, said the PDP manifesto will give the women right of place, while the assuring the people that several new rural roads will be constructed across the state when Governor Okezie Ikpeazu goes into his second term.
She promised to use her Vicar Hope Foundation to bring several new projects to Ikwuano.
