Text:John 3:16
For the sake of love, God released his only son!
Inspite of the faults of men, God still sent his son to salvage their disobedience.
He advised the couple to learn to overlook each other's faults as God loved the world that didn't love him back.
He further adjured them saying,
"Let the unconditional love of God build your marriage.
Your love must be sacrificial
Not on selfishness.
Treat each other with mercy, tenderness".
He told the groom pointedly that he must be willing to stomach ”nonsense" and advised the wife to treat the husband with tenderness if their marriage was to survive.
He advised them to go and define their own manual as no manual book in the market can solve their problems unless they write theirs.
The Clergyman reminded them that the only two Institutions the devil is after is marriage and church of Christ.
In addition, Mrs Ikpeazu admonished them not to let anyone be a model for their marriage. "Don't look like anyone, be your own model".
She encouraged them to invest in Character building seeing that physical beauty could never be equated to a good Character.
Complimenting Frederick, she said, "I know you are a good organizer, I know you are going to organize your home"!
Above all she prayed for a fruitful union.
