MRS NKECHI IKPEAZU, MOTHER THERESA THE SECOND, ACQUIRES A MAMMOGRAM MACHINE FOR ABIA WOMEN!

MRS NKECHI IKPEAZU, MOTHER THERESA THE SECOND, ACQUIRES A MAMMOGRAM MACHINE FOR ABIA WOMEN!

There is a saying that God found the strongest women and made them care givers. Indeed Caregiving is a gift of great love.

To Dub Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu “Mother Theresa 2” is truly no outrageous claim as she has continues to decorate the lives of Abia Women with her thoughtfulness, Charity and verifiable concerns for the wellbeing of Abia Women.

Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu seems to be walking in the stead of Mother Theresa who managed homes for People, ran Mobile Clinics, Dispensaries, Family counselling programmes, took care of the sick and offered wholehearted free services to the poor.

Riding on her Chariot the Vicar Hope Foundation, Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu vividly continues to paint for us the saying that KINDNESS IS JUST LOVE WITH WORKBOOTS ON.

A full book will have to be written to successfully iterate every single medal she has won on the front of care giving; from providing shelter, to enhancing the status of women through Education, Empowerment, Welfare, Skill Development, Interventions in Poverty Reduction, Protecting Women and Child Rights, Promoting Maternal/Childcare and of course Health care Provision.

Prior to the advent of VHF, Abia Populace was faced with so many challenges ranging from Unemployment, Maltreatment of poor Widows and Molestation of the Girl child plus several issues too numerous to mention.

For the sake of this particular discuss, we would wish to dwell on her conquests in the area of Health Care provision; chief of which has recorded a massive decline in cases of Sickle cell for both Children/Adults and of course  adequate management for those already living with Sickle cell Anaemia.

Others will include several interventions for Cardiovascular/Respiratory diseases, provision of X-ray machines, Scan Machines, a state of the art Medical Laboratory and several others.

Now, to introduce the newest feather on her cap of her Health care provision,
It is with overwhelming Joy that we announce that Mother Theresa 2, Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu has acquired a Mammogram Machine for Abia Women.

A mammogram is a Machine used to diagnose Breast Cancer in women.

It’s no longer news that Breast Cancer is the most invasive and most common kind of cancer in women, with symptoms ranging from lump or thickening of the Breast to changes in Skin colour or Nipple.

The Risk factors of Breast Cancer can be genetic or from lifestyle factors such as alcohol intake and several others.

Breast cancer remains the major killer for women all over the world and on Cancer survival rates, as sad as it may sound, there is actually a link between ethnicity and the chances of surviving cancer.

Black Women are more likely to be diagnosed of stage 2 Cancer, High Tumour Grade and Triple Negative Diseases; all of these factors make Breast Cancer more aggressive and harder to treat.

A mammogram is a surefire way to detect Breast Cancer early, even before the lump can be felt, and at this point, it is easier to treat.

This therefore makes the acquisition of a mammogram machine by Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu an amazing development to the provision of Health care for Abia Women.
Ongoing installation of the Mammogram machine at Vicar Hope Foundation.

Having identified the mammogram machine as a tool for early Breast Cancer detection, and consequently a chance at increasing the survival rate of cancer patients; Mrs Nkechi by the acquisition of this machine, buttresses her believe that all women, no matter their economic status, deserve the best Breast Cancer care and prognosis possible.

She believes that no woman deserves to die from manageable health issues and no family activities should be disrupted by the loss of their Mother.

That said, it makes regular visits and Breast Cancer Screening a good place to start in wedging the war against cancer and Maternal Mortality, as it offers best survival chances.

This feat actually transcends Abia, as all Nigerians are open to the use of this facility.

By this act, she identifies with other Global Communities in the fight against cancer, in her little way, even though much more has to be done in the area of providing care to women living with cancer.

From Special diets to world standard medication and the acquisition of other machines.

Truly, nothing is more frustrating for a caregiver  than to be limited by finance, the pain is more excruciating than the pain of the patient.

The acquisition of the mammogram machine makes it her first contribution in maintaining world statistics that 90% percent of Cancer patients, stand a chance of survival if detected on time.

Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu, just like Mother Theresa has truly answered her “call within” and has shown it yet another milestone in the Ministry of caregiving, encouraging all women especially those above the Age of 40 to take advantage of the facility for regular mammograms at very subsidized rates.

This for us is definitely a gesture in Love. Indeed this is a big feat even though we remember that it is usually not about our actions but the amount of love put into it.

To keep the Lamp burning, we have to keep putting oil on it.

With this, it our pleasure to reaffirm and celebrate Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu’s Goodworks which continue to form a chain of Love.

Truly Abia is in Safe Hands.

MRS NKECHI IKPEAZU CONTINUES TO BUILD MORE HOUSES FOR THE INDIGENT...

MRS NKECHI IKPEAZU CONTINUES TO BUILD MORE HOUSES FOR THE INDIGENT THROUGH HER VICAR HOPE FOUNDATION....

Housing is definitely one of the traditional areas of concern for Public Health, if not the most important.

The home is important for Psychosocial reasons, as well as it's protection against environmental factors. The effects of homelessness on homeless people are large.

With effects ranging from health issues to Personal entrapment and lots more.
It is believed that many homeless individuals consider themselves as having failed in their lives to cope with their difficulties, thus making  them alienate themselves from the rest of the world.

People who do not have an adequate shelter are largely characterized by problems of health, ranging from Cold, Injury, Cardio Respiratory Disease, Tuberculosis, Skin disease, Sleep Deprivation, loss of Self esteem, increase in Substance misuse, Increased danger of Abuse, Violence and in worse case scenario's, Death.

To this end, VICAR HOPE FOUNDATION, a Non Governmental Organization, in her bid to provide shelter; among other goals for the widows and indigent, made history again, by Building and Furnishing a 2 bedroom flat for Mrs. Florence Anyatonwu.

The Family of Mr and Mrs John Nwagwu of Umuorji village, were also beneficiaries of a 3Bedroon Bungalow.

While opening the houses and handing over the keys to the beneficiaries, The President of vicar hope foundation, Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu, ably represented by her Vice president,  Mrs Edith Nwaosu, in her speech; reminded the general public of the aims and objectives of the organization, chiefly concerned with helping the less privilege, improving the Standard of Living for Abia Citizens, ensuring the Peace and Harmony of Abia inhabitants.

Mrs Florence Anyatonwu (beneficiary) in her response to the kind gesture, joyfully praised God and expressed her gratitude for the good work God has done in her life through Mrs Ikpeazu.

Mr John Nwagwu the second beneficiary, in his speech said that his children for some time now stopped coming home due to lack of shelter, and he feels overjoyed to have a house which can accommodate him and his family comfortably.

In his Joy, he thanked Mrs Ikpeazu for her good work and prayed for God to bless and grant her protection and journey mercies.
